Kyoki is a five-piece virtual visual kei deathcore band from Saitama, Japan.
Blending brutal modern deathcore with Japanese folklore, horror cinema, and themes of death, Kyoki creates music that is violent, theatrical, and unsettling by design. The band draws inspiration from the intensity and visual edge of groups like Dexcore, Deviloof, and JILUKA, while building its own world of darkness, beauty, and chaos.
Kyoki sings mostly in Japanese, with some English woven throughout the songs. The band’s vocalist is American-Japanese, giving the project a voice that sits between cultures, languages, and extremes.
Kyoki Are:
Kenji - Vox
Ren - Guitar
Dai - Guitar
Akira - Bass
Kenta - Drums

About the Process
Kyoki is a human-led virtual metal project built around original lyrics, song ideas, drum parts, vocal direction, and a dark visual world.
The band’s lyrics, song concepts, drum ideas, vocal direction, and core creative identity are created by human writers and musicians. Those human-made parts form the foundation of the project before the songs are developed further through a modern production workflow.
AI-assisted tools may be used to support some guitar and bass work, help shape song structure, strengthen continuity, and bring the band’s visual kei deathcore sound into focus. Not every guitar or bass part is AI-assisted, and the tools are used to support the songs rather than replace the creative direction behind them.
Production, mixing, and mastering tools may also include AI-assisted features. These tools help refine the sound, dynamics, transitions, and final impact, but the lyrics, concepts, drums, vocals, editing choices, arrangement direction, and final release decisions are made by human creators.
Kyoki exists as a virtual visual kei deathcore project where human writing, human vocals, extreme metal ideas, horror-inspired world-building, and AI-assisted tools work together to serve the song.
